Even today, it is little known that Romania is of the world`s largest wine producers.
As of 2003, around 545,700Tons of WINE are produced annually.
In Romania, wine was first introduced 3000years ago in Dacia, commonly known today as Romania, by the Greeks Who arrived from the Black sea.
The ideal landscape, and the Hot dry summers, proud to be a great success and the Vineyards thrived.
Later during the medieval ages, the Saxons immigrated to Romania bringing along many different variations of the Germanic grape vines.
However, most of these grape vines were replaced by grapes from WesternEurope in the early 1800`s.
